Graham Hygate manages major change programmes in the commercial and public sectors. Recent clients include organisations in the broadcast media and financial services sectors and a central Government department. He has provided advice on business sustainability to a newspaper group, an outsourcer, a payments organisation, a recruitment consultancy and a school. Before founding Sustayn in March 2007 he held senior management positions with FTSE 250 consultancy Detica, where he led the company's acquisition of Inforenz and at management consultancy Charteris, where as Head of Public Sector he built the company's business in central and local government. Before Charteris he was with Oracle and Logica. Graham has a PhD in physics (1988) and a BA (Hons) in Natural Sciences. From 1987- 1994 he worked as a research physicist at the University of Bristol and the UK National Physical Laboratory.
Richard Sheahan Over many years Richard has helped a wide range of organisations in the public and private sectors operate more effectively and sustainably by improving the way they work. Much of this work has focused on helping these organisations to be more responsive to their customers and partners and more effective in communicating with them. Most recently he has worked on major projects with the UK Border Agency to improve the flow of information around the organisation; with the Office of Criminal Justice Reform to improve the effectiveness of Local Criminal Justice Boards around the country; and with Roll-Royce to help them win more business. He is an Associate Lecturer at the London College of Communication (University of the Arts). Richard has extensive client-side experience in marketing, trading and strategic planning with W H Smith, J Sainsbury and RHM and has held senior positions with marketing consultancies, working with Nestlé, Procter and Gamble, British Airways and BAA.
Chris Jones has worked in Information Technology for more than fifteen years. His focus is technical, and has included architecture and design, implementation and management of business critical systems across a variety of sectors including central Government, Financial Services, Energy and Retail. He is currently working to define the hardware requirements for two core central Government systems, which serve up to 80,000 users and are to merge onto a single platform. Prior to this, Chris has worked at Accenture in solutions delivery, and in a consultative capacity for numerous organisations including Sybase, Merill Lynch Asset Management and CitiGroup. Before moving into IT, Chris worked as a geologist in the Oil Industry at offshore facilities in the UK and beyond. Chris has a BSc (Hons) in Geological Sciences.
Kris Hewitt recently designed the sustainability strategy for a major UK financial services organisation working in consultation with key stakeholders to develop a strategy which was both relevant and beneficial to the business. He holds an MBA from the Tanaka Business School at Imperial College London and his 2008 thesis "Understanding the impact climate change has on the shareholder value of UK corporations" makes an important contribution to the growing body of work on sustainability for businesses. Kris's background is in strategy and communications with a particular focus on financial services. As Innovation Delivery Manager at Vocalink, he led the project team responsible for developing a new type of payment card into the UK market using a start-up style approach. He also has experience of customer management, vendor selection and ITIL.
Stephen Nolan has extensive client- and supply-side experience in the scoping, design, delivery and successful implementation of technology-enabled business change projects within challenging timescales and budgets. He is expert in business change, process modelling/management, requirements management, alignment of business and technical requirements, business and technology assurance, supplier selection and supplier management. He has over 10 years expereince in international climate change research for over ten years and was a member of the Scientific and Executive Committees for the International Marine Global Changes (IMAGES) programme. His Climate Change PhD investigated the effects of ocean circulation on climatic change. He holds an M.Sc. in Recent Environmental Change and is passionate about the business opportunities presented by climate change, helping business overcome the challenges of climate change, and moving society towards a low carbon economy..
