UK staff at QinetiQ trade generous redunancy terms for pay rise

Management teams seeking to increase the flexibility of their workforces will read with interest the experience of UK aerospace and defence contractor QinetiQ, who this week learnt that their 6,500 UK employees have voted to give up redundancy terms reported to amount to 3 years' pay for 20+ years of service, in return for an immediate 2-3.5% pay rise.
